Essentials to design and validate campus projects

The iBwave Reach Certification program is intended for engineers involved in the planning, designing and validating of high performance LTE/5G campus networks. Learners will work with iBwave Reach as well as iBwave Design to integrate outdoor and indoor design information for campus projects.

This course will cover the basics of how to start a project, display building polygons, design the outdoor network and run outdoor predictions in iBwave Reach. It will also cover how to exchange information between iBwave Reach and iBwave Design for accurate propagation prediction for both indoor and outdoor propagation in the campus.

Throughout the course, you will be required to perform hands-on workshops. You must complete a final exam in order to obtain the Reach certification.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
  • Describe the challenges & best practices of Campus Network design.
  • Set up projects in iBwave Design and iBwave Reach for proper collaboration.
  • Configure various project properties in iBwave Reach for Campus Networks.
  • Integrate fully modeled iBwave Design projects as areas in iBwave Reach.
  • Import and export data between iBwave Reach and iBwave Design.
  • Analyze outdoor predictions with and without indoor prediction consideration.
Training Includes Prerequisite Notes
  • Online manual for 1 year after activation
  • 20-day iBwave Design trial license
  • If user has no iBwave Reach concurrent or trial license, a request can be made for a 30-day trial license. Please make the request early and allow some time for this process as license is issued through a partner.
  • Completion of Level 1 and Level 2 or equivalent skill set is recommended.
  • Reach concurrent license or valid trial license (requests for trial licenses made after registration to the course may not be processed quickly enough to be available during the course).
