Training & Certification Policies

EXAMINATION POLICY

System requirements: Refer to https://community.ibwave.com/training-system-requirements/ for all hardware requirements.

License usage: All training exercises and exams must be completed using the student’s dedicated iBwave software license or dedicated trial license. Unless pre-approved in writing by iBwave, exams completed by another person, using another person’s iBwave license, or with a shared license will not be accepted and will result in the exam being refused and/or the de-certification of a student who inappropriately shared /his/her credentials

Trial license duration varies by training format and will be communicated in advance of the course.

Exam timeline: The following exam timeline is required for the different training formats listed below; some exceptions apply. The exam must be completed in three hours and in one sitting.

  • Virtual Class & in-class sessions: exams must be completed within the seven (7)-day period after the session.
  • Online sessions: exams must be completed before the course expiration date.

Grading: Passing score on the exam is seventy-five percent (75%). Grades will be shared within fifteen (15) business days from submission, exceptions apply.

Exam retakes: Exam retakes are possible within one (1) year from purchase date. Upon failing the exam, participants have the possibility to resubmit the exam within two (2) weeks free of charge. After the two (2) weeks timeline or in the case where the exam retake is failed, an exam retake fee will be applicable. Once the course is expired (after one (1) year of enrolment date), participants will need to repurchase certification.

Any deliberate misrepresentation of the exam results will result in the immediate refusal of certification and future registrations.

Support during the exam: Customer can contact iBwave Support (support@ibwave.com) for any technical issues during the exam. It is strictly forbidden to seek assistance from anyone other than the authorized iBwave Support Team during the exam.

How to submit an exam: Customer needs to upload the completed exam using the link provided. If the link fails to upload, contact iBwave Support.

Appeals: Students can file an appeal within 7 days if they believe the grading was incorrect. Appeals are to be submitted to training@ibwave.com within 7 days of receiving the grade. The appeal committee will review and respond within 3 weeks.

CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULES, AND NO-SHOW POLICIES

Cancellation: In the event the customer elects to cancel more than five business days before an In-Class or Virtual Class session start date, the user can take the course online or attend a future session within 6 months of the purchase date. No refunds offered.

Should a cancellation for an In-Class or Virtual Class session occur LESS than five (5) business days prior to the session start date, user will be charged a penalty fee. The user can take the course online or elect to attend a future session (pending availability) within six (6) months of the purchase date. No refunds offered.

iBwave reserves the right to cancel an in-class session ten days prior to the course start date without liability for expenses incurred by the registrant. Registrants will be informed of the next available in-class course dates. Alternatively, the registrant can choose to take the course online.

No Shows: No refunds will be made for a person who registers for the training but does not cancel or attend the training class.

Seat transfer: If a customer switches their In-Class or Virtual Class seat with another person, s/he must notify iBwave five business days prior to the event in order to receive all necessary communications. Transfer to an online seat will not be possible if the course has already been activated.

Session transfer: To change from Online to In-Class or Virtual Class format, a change fee equal to the difference in price between Online and the selected format will be applied. Applicable only to select courses.

Courses are non-refundable.

DESCRIPTION OF ONLINE COURSES

Each Online Training or Certification course is available for one (1) year from the date of purchase. If a printed manual is purchased, it will be shipped to the address provided.

Online certification programs can be started at the student’s discretion at any time within a year from the purchase date. It is the student’s responsibility to plan enough time to get through the course and exam before the course expiration date.

If needed, a thirty (30)-day trial license can be requested for certification purposes only. (Note: iBwave trial license does not run in a virtual environment.)

DESCRIPTION OF IN-CLASS COURSES

Students will receive recommended pre-course fundamentals to complete online. These fundamentals serve as background theory that can help with the comprehension of the course material. Instructional emails will be sent shortly after registration.

Students will receive a fifteen (15)-day trial license to be used during the in-class session at least five business days before the session starts. (Note: iBwave trial license does not run in a virtual environment.)

Participants will need to register to a session within one year of purchase date or convert the seat to online course.

Requests to convert an in-class or virtual classroom seat to an online course must be submitted in writing before the one (1) year expiration date. Conversion is subject to availability and any applicable administrative or price adjustment fees.

In-class training fees exclude travel, lodging, and out-of-pocket expenses.

DESCRIPTION OF VIRTUAL CLASSROOM COURSES

Students will receive recommended pre-course fundamentals to complete online. These fundamentals serve as background theory that can help comprehension of course material. Instructional emails will be sent shortly after registration.

Exams are to be completed online up to seven (7) days after the end of the session.

Students will receive a twenty (20)-day trial license to be used during the Virtual Classroom session at least five (5) business days before the sessions start. This extended trial license allows the student to complete the online exam seven (7) days after the session. (Note: iBwave trial license does not run in a virtual environment.)

Participants will need to register to a session within one year of the purchase date or convert the seat to online course. Requests to convert an in-class or virtual classroom seat to an online course must be submitted in writing before the one (1) year expiration date. Conversion is subject to availability and any applicable administrative or price adjustment fees.

COURSE EXPIRATION

Once a course is purchased, registrants must attend/complete the course within a year of the purchase date. Extensions beyond the stated limits are at the discretion of iBwave and will be subject to a fee.

CERTIFICATION EXPIRATION

Certification is valid for three years after the date of successful completion. Individuals must pass a recertification exam or advance to the next level of certification to remain certified and renew the certification for another three years. All certification expiration date will match the latest certification achieved.

Note: Recertification can only be activated and processed after the date of the certificate has expired.

iBwave recertification is offered online through the Learning Center.

RESPONSIBILITY OF CUSTOMER (CONDUCT)

Prerequisite requirements: iBwave reserves the right to refuse or limit any services for training if Customer fails to satisfy the requirements for a training course as published or provided to Customer by iBwave prior to the start of such course. In such cases, no refund or cancellation fee will be paid.

Good conduct: iBwave reserves the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any training or certification if Customer, in the opinion of iBwave, has displayed unreasonable behavior or is deemed to be fraudulent (including the unauthorized sharing of credentials), violent, abusive, or disruptive. In such cases, no refund or cancellation fee will be paid.

Ownership of Materials: Ownership of all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the iBwave course material, including any documentation, data, technical information and know-how provided to Customer as part of the training remains vested in the owner of the course materials. All such information shall be held in confidence and may not be disclosed or copied to third parties, without the express written permission of iBwave. No recording or copying of any of the courses or course materials is permitted without the express written consent of iBwave.

Misconduct consequences: iBwave reserves the right to cancel an exam and revoke certification if cheating, fraud or misconduct is detected. Permanent disqualification from future certifications will depend on the severity of the violation.

TRAINING SUPPORT

Training support is provided from Monday to Friday, between 9AM and 5PM EST. Contact the Training Department at iBwave via https://www.ibwave.com/contact-us/training.

Limited support for license issues and course extensions is provided on Saturday and Sunday, and Monday to Friday between 5PM and 9AM EST – contact support@ibwave.com (emails will be addressed within 24 hours)

WARRANTY

iBwave warrants that its personnel are suitably qualified and experienced to perform Training. Except as expressly represented otherwise, and to the extent not prohibited by law, all Training, including any documentation, publications, software programs or code, and other information provided by or on behalf of iBwave or its suppliers to Customer is furnished on an ‘AS-IS’ basis, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise especially as to quality, reliability, timeliness, usefulness, sufficiency and accuracy. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF CONDITION, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE DISCLAIMED BY IBWAVE. NO ORAL OR WRITTEN INFORMATION PROVIDED BY IBWAVE SHALL CREATE A WARRANTY UNLESS INCORPORATED INTO THESE TERMS.

ANY DELIBERATE ATTEMPT TO CIRCUMVENT THE RULES HEREIN MAY RESULT IN THE REFUSAL OR REVOCATION OF CERTIFICATION.
